Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2

The separate stories of Carmen, Lena, Tibby, and Bridget continue in the sequel to Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. This sequel is definitely a chick flick and the might even be a little better than the first movie. Carmen’s mother is remarried and moving and having a baby so Carmen feels discombobulated even though she is going to Yale. Lena is in art school at the Rhode Island School of Design and meets a male model from her figure drawing class. Bridget is going to Brown, still plays soccer and does some archeological work in Turkey, as she tries to come to terms with her mother’s suicide. Tibby and her boyfriend have sex and the condom breaks and Tibby wonders if she is pregnant. Throw in Kyle MacLachlan, Blythe Danner, and a young British actor name Tom Wisdom and you have a cute film set in some beautiful locations. The girls all come together in Greece in the end to help Lena and Kostos reunite. I hope they make another. Unfortunately, I have not read the series of books about these four friends. Tom Wisdom is going to soon be in a movie with Philip Seymour Hoffman, Emma Thompson, Kenneth Branaugh and some others about a 1960’s radio station in the North Sea entitled The Boat That Rocked. This movie is set to be released in May 2009. He looks much younger than he is. Wisdom had a good role in the film 300 as Leonides’ top captain’s son. I can’t wait to see more of his work in the future.

You have good taste! 🙂 Tom Wisdom is quite the rising star (with a baby face for his age!). Nice to see someone write a little bit about him and looking forward to his future work. His past roles are fantastic, definitely worth sitting down to watch. If you don’t mind, I’m going to add your review to his website.
