Tipu’s Tiger

I wanted to learn more about the Tipu Sultan’s “toy” after reading about it in Sharpe’s Tiger . . .

–from www.ablogabouthistory.com

You can learn more about the Tipu Sultan’s tiger on Wikipedia or from the Victoria and Albert Museum.

How strange, Denise, I have just been posting on Blake’s ‘Tyger’ here … here
… I think the comments are possibly the interesting part of my post. I recall trips to see Tipu’s Tiger, too.

Love that poem, Caroline. I didn’t even think of the poem as I was reading about the Tipu Sultan. I wonder why? I like the “tyger” spelling . . .
