Notre Dame and the Christmas Markets

–Charlemagne to the right.

–I enjoy walking around Notre Dame. Sometimes there is a mass going on, or a rehearsal and people are singing, and so there is pleasant background noise. Most of the visits I have made to Notre Dame have been quiet, except for the shuffle of feet and a low murmur. And then you step back into Paris.

–From the gargoyle level.

–Looking down on Shakespeare and Company

–From Shakespeare and Company looking back up at Notre Dame.

The Christmas markets in white tents just past Place de la Concorde . . .

–Fromage galore

–Boar’s head!

–I just wanted to break off a big piece of chocolate and run!

–The pink place

–Chocolate tools and implements!

–And chocolate wrenches and saw blades!
