Last week I attended a meeting of the Dallas Green Alliance with an East Dallas friend. This group’s goal is to choose a new mayor for Dallas that is not going to support a Trinity toll road. Can you imagine—a toll road in a river bottom? Even though I do not live in Dallas County or the city of Dallas, I feel strongly that the toll road is a complete waste of money and will ruin one of the few natural resources the city has left. I am sure I will live in Dallas again one day, so I will support groups such as the Dallas Green Alliance. Anyhow, the meeting was held at the home/studio of photographer Sean Fitzgerald.
Sean Fitzgerald is an environmental photographer, hence his interest in the Dallas Green Alliance. You can find a short biography of Sean HERE.
Sean also has an excellent blog on his website that showcases his beautiful work. I find myself drawn to his bird pictures, especially the one ones with birds, wires, clouds, etc.
Photographers need to make money, so I will post only two photos that were internet accessible, but I strongly suggest you take a look at Sean’s website and his portfolio so you can appreciate how beautiful our river, prairie land, and city really are.
The above photo won the 2011 Trinity River Photo Contest.
